Have A Flea Problem? What You Can Do About It

Blog

Fleas are a type of pest that is difficult to deal with. These pests may be all over your home without you even realizing it at all. The pests are very tiny and can go unnoticed in your home for some time until they are biting you all over your body, and your pets are also getting bit by these pests as well. Fleas can be quite irritating when they are biting you and the bites can be very itchy. If you have fleas in your home read on for some tips on how to get rid of them.

Flea Bomb The House

Use a flea bomb in your house to kill these pests. The flea bomb can help to kill all types of pests in your home, including fleas. The spray and fog from the bomb can reach all throughout your home, although you may need to use more than one of these bombs in your home. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on how to use the flea bomb and set the bomb off in your home when nobody is in the house, including all of your pets, as it can be toxic when in the fog while it's spraying. Once the bomb is finished working, you can go back into your home and open all of your windows to air it out. Then vacuum your entire house and empty the canister in a trash bag outside of your home. Then wipe down all of the hard surfaces in your home.

Flea Dip Your Pets

Use a flea bath on your pets or take your pet to the veterinarian or a groomer for a flea dip. Your pets can be spreading the fleas throughout your home, so they need to be dipped to get rid of the fleas on their bodies. They could be picking up the fleas from outside of your home or from another pet. Keep your pets away from other pets and don't allow them to roam free to pick up pests that can be brought back to your home.

Spray Your Yard

Spray your yard with a pesticide that can kill the fleas. Use a granular or liquid spray to kill the fleas, which could be where the fleas in your home have been coming in from. If you are bringing them in from your yard, or your pets are, you need to treat your yard. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on how to use the pesticide.

If you have a problem with fleas, you need to take control of them right away before they take over your home and you begin to spread them wherever you go.
